During his studies of Protestant church music – under organists such as Leo van Doeselaar and Erwin Wiersinga – at the Berliner Kirchenmusikschule and the Hochschule der Künste Berlin, he engaged intensively with the German church music tradition. This tradition, along with his Czech-Romanian heritage, strongly influences his compositional work.

The album brings together a selection of the composer's shorter organ works. The stylistic range extends from traditional chorale preludes to more modern, rhythmically varied and chromatically coloured pieces. The notation is standardised across three staves. Some works include recommended registrations. These miniatures are of an easy to medium level of difficulty, making them equally suitable for church services, concerts, and teaching.

Contents:

Prelude

Praise the Lord, the Almighty, the King of Creation

Now Thank We All Our God (Slavonic Overture)

Be Thou My Vision

Intermezzo

Angelus

Christ the Lord Is Risen Again

Jubilus in silentio

Bless and Keep Us, Lord (Wedding Overture)

Romanian Pastorale

Interlude

Sing the Lord a New Song – O, Praise Our Gracious Lord

Meditatio

Hallelujah!
