The inclusion of Latin recalls the long history of the Church and places the psalm firmly in the context of traditional liturgical worship, but with a twist on the familiar \"Gloria patri\". The style of the poem is inspired by 13th-century Persian mystic and poet Jalaluddin Rumi, and the music paints it as a blissful, liturgical dance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe choral scene is vibrant. This diversity is enriched by numerous contemporary compositions, which are fortunately increasingly finding their way into concert programmes. in addition to works that can be classified as avant-garde, there are pieces with folk music influences, while others move between different styles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe new Bärenreiter series \"Contemporary Choral Works\" brings together high-quality contemporary repertoire for choirs. Just as the pieces cover a wide stylistic range, the scoring also varies – all, however, are a cappella.
